Update on our departed dog

“Our little dog, sometimes known as Sophie, has departed her body and is now roaming free. She always like to take a walk, and did not always wait for her humans to accompany her. This afternoon she made the ultimate leap, leaving her mortal remains behind to roam free. She was a very good dog, and very much loved.”– K writing of Little Dog’s death on Tues. Jan. 31

The Story So Far, so far: The house in Carmichael

The house in Carmichael
The house in Carmichael
Front Porch (current owners furnishings, of course)

We have made an offer that has been accepted (contingent on inspections) and we think unlike the one in Fair Oaks, this one will not have issues. The sellers have put a lot of effort into renovation before selling and the disclosures are very thorough

So, again, the story so far

This is a blog to chronicle our new house and to watch in photos as the home goes from the initial house we bought to evolve to the house we live in; to see trees planted and grow and to watch it go from new and frightening to “our house”.

(Herge was probably attempting to mimic the cinema of the time) In a dockside bar two working men meet at a bar. One asks the other if he is still a ship’s cook, and the other, Bill, tells of how he is about to embark an an engagement with Tintin and Captain Haddock on the Sirius. This is the same cook in The Shooting Star. He accuses Snowy of stealing biscuits but the biscuits were actually stolen by Professor Calculus.
